WELL-KNOWN WAYNE CITY WOMAN,
NELLIE MC DUFFEE,
EXPIRES AT MEMORIAL
HOSPITAL
The wife of Frank McDuffee, she and her husband were well-known around Wayne City as the broom makers. Both were blind.
About three weeks ago she fell, breaking her hip at her home on Section Line Road and she became a patient in the hospital.
Rites Tuesday
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wayne City Christian Church, with Rev. Jim Dona officiating. Burial will be in Thomason cemetery.
Friends may call at the Richardson Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Monday (today).
Mrs. McDuffee was born in Green county Aug. 1, 1889, the daughter of Hugh and Nancy (Coonrod) Gillick. She married Frank McDuffee on July 30, 1919.
Mrs. McDuffee was a member of the Wayne City Christian church.
The Survivors
Surviving are her husband; two brothers, Alvin, of East St. Louis; and Joseph, of Carlinville; three sisters, Maudie Rehn, of Vallejo, Calif.; Mary Wheeler, of Hettick; and Helen McDuffee, of Rantoul.
One infant daughter, Juanita, preceded her in death.
