RETIRED BROOM MAKER,
FRANK MC DUFFEE,
DIES

Frank E. McDuffee, 89, a well-known Wayne City resident, a retired broom maker, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 1983, at Way-Fair Restorium.

Mr. McDuffee was a resident of the nursing home for two months suffering from infirmities of age, the family said.

Services Held

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday (today) at the Wayne City First Christian Church with Bro. Ron Mullins and Bro. Mark Potter officiating.  Interment was in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.  The Richardson Funeral Home, of Wayne City, handled the funeral arrangements.

Mr. McDuffee was born in Wayne County, April 2, 1894, the son of James Calvin and Effie Jane (Godfrey) McDuffee.

He was married to Nellie A. Gillick in Hettick.  She preceded him in death in 1971.  Mr. McDuffee later married the former May Dow in Wayne City in August of 1974.

He was a member of the Wayne City First Christian Church and was a past deacon.  Mr. McDuffee served in that position for many years before retiring.

The Survivors

Survivors include his wife, May McDuffee, of Wayne City; three brothers, Robert McDuffee, of Anderson, Ind.; Roy McDuffee, of Tolona; Jesse McDuffee, of Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Dyer, of Mountain Home, Ark; and Mrs. Clara Curry, of Memphis, Tenn.
