Andrew J. Miller, 71, well-known Sims resident, died Sunday in a sanitarium in Springfield,  where he had been a patient the past three months suffering from cancer.  The body was returned here in the Dixon-Crippin funeral car. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon at the Hopewell church by Rev. Bernal Williams. Interment was in the Hopewell cemetery.

Andrew J. Miller was born in Wayne county on March 28th, 1873.

He was married to Eva P. Richards on August 15, 1906. To this union twelve children were born, Buel, Raymond, Eunice, Inez, Archie, Othie, Earnest, Dwight, Leslie, Lester, Alvens & Amos. His companion and six children preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eunice Atkinson, Mrs. Othie Marshel; four sons, Raymond, Dwight, Leslie and Amos Miller and two sons-in-law. Dwight and Leslie are in the armed forces overseas. Three sisters, Mrs. Della Henson, Mrs Clara Miller, and Mrs. Etta Barby, and two brothers, Edward and Chris, also survive.
