When I found a copy of this book, I contacted Mrs. Uphoff (our author).  During our long conversation, I asked if I could put the book on this ILGen web site and she said yes.

Mrs. Uphoff was born and raised in Cisne, and she taught school in Flora for 38 years.  I really respect, enjoy, and love this lady.  She is one of the finest I have ever met and can not wait to meet her.

We had problems copying the first two years of this book, for the paper is very fine   When information was not clear to us, I put an "*" in front of that line and, sometime the field in question is italics.. When I meet with her we will work on this together to fix it all.

An entry for the spouse started in 1928.  But 1950, this was removed, the informant and their relationship started.  Also in 1950, the POBirth (Place Of Birth) of the parents was not listed.
