Surnames: ADAMSON, FITCH, HEDRICK, WARD

Am searching to find what happened to two Wayne Co. families.  Martha A. ADAMSON m. 1867 to James M. WARD.  They are listed in the Wayne Co. 1870 census with a son William M., age 2.  The 1880 Wayne Co. census does not list James and Martha, but William WARD is listed with Martha's half-sister's family: Francis and Theresa HEDRICK FITCH.  William WARD, age 12, is listed as their ward.  Would like to learn what happened to all of these families, including William M. WARD.  Any help, leads, etc. appreciated.  Will be happy to share info.

(Q85)  17 Jul 1997 - Regina McCreary

Surnames: McCREARY, STOLTZ-STOLTZE

I am looking for the parents of my great grandfather.  His name was Samuel Curtis McCREARY.  He was b. Oct 3, 1855 somewhere near Barnhill or Fairfield.  As far as anyone knows he was orphaned when he was around age ten.  His mother had died some years earlier.  Noone knows the names of his parents, and I've been unable to find any record of his existence in IL.  He and his wife Margaret STOLTZ(E?) (reportedly his second, though again no evidence) and their 8 children left IL for Canada in 1917 or so.  There are also supposed to have been two daughters by first marriage, they would have been b. bef 1892.  Hope anyone can help.
