Trying to find parents/info. on Alexander SHOAF, b. ca 1832 in Orange Co., IN. He m. ca 1852 probably in Orange Co., IN to Deborah BLEDSOE although there is no record of it. Deborah was b. in Oct 1837 the Orange Co., IN the daughter of Lewis Allen and Mary (HOBSON) BLEDSOE. Alexander and Deborah were living in Orange Co., IN in 1860 and then there is no sign of them again until 1882 when they show up as parents on a birth record in Gibson Co., IN. Alexander may have never made it to Wayne Co., IL. He may be the Alexander SHOAF that shows up in the Gallatin Co. death register who lived in Bear Creek Precinct, Gallatin Co., IL and d. 20 Apr 1888. Deborah shows up on the 1900 census in Big Mound Twp., Wayne Co., IL living with or near some of her children so Alexander was apparently dead by then. Some of the known children of Alexander and Deborah (BLEDSOE) SHOAF were as follows: Sarah A. (?)
