Mr. and Mrs. Dane Murphy, a well-known rural Wayne county couple, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday at a dinner held at the home of their
daughter, Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Wells, Fairfield.

The couple was married in Wayne county August 24, 1932. Mr. Murphy is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Murphy.  His wife is the former Wanda Berg, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Berg.

Mr. Muuphy is now retired. He was formerly engaged in farming and was a
minister, pastoring churches in Wayne county. The couple has two children, Mrs. Kenneth Wells and Ray Murphy of Fairfield.

Following the dinner. anniversary cake and ice cream were served.   Attending the family celebration were: Dennis, Sheila, Larry,   Mr. and Mrs. David, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Murphy and daughter, Amy Brian and Chrissy, Edna, and David, and a friend, Anita.  Unable to attend were two grandchildren,
Pat and Sherry, and a great-grandson, Jeffrey.
