Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Elliott, a couple who has resided in the Gunion neighborhood all of their married life will soon reach a milestone in their married life.

They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, November 23.

The rural Cisne couple plans no "special" celebration but will meet together for a family dinner at the Cafe in Cisne.

Joe is a retired farmer and teacher His wife, Laverne, a retired nurse, is now a full time housewife. She is a native of Indian.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliott have two children, a daughter, Barbara Shehorn and a son, Byron Elliott; a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Larry Shehorn and Ruth Elliott and five grandchildren; Joe Shehorn of Pekin, Carl Shehorn of Tempe, Ariz.; Cathy Shehorn, of Lubbock, Texas and Bill and Jennifer Elliott of Cisne.

 The couple request that gifts be omitted but would appreciate cards and letters.
