Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Shreve of 102 1/2 Broadway, Fairfield, observed their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Nov. 4.
To celebrate, the Shreves had dinner at the Crown Restaurant with their two daughters and son-in-laws, Irene and Tom Wyland of Lincoln and Doris and Robert Bates of Mt. Pulaski.
Mr. Shreve is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Shreve of Fairfield. His wife is the former Mary Burkhart of Assumption and the couple was married in that city.
Mr. Shreve was engaged in farming and construction work, then for 24 years served as Chief of Police in Mt. Pulaski. He retired and seven years ago moved to Fairfield.
In addition to their two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Shreve have a son, Clyde Shreve Jr., of Lincoln, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
