Carroll and Barbara (Spitzner) Cook of Flora, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18.  They were married at the Blue Point F.W.B. Church, ru ural Cisne by Rev. Warren D. Crippin, Aug. 18, 1946.

Carroll is the son of the late Larkin and Nellie Cook of Rinard.  Barbara is the daughter of the late Leslie and Sylvia Spitzner of Cisne.

They are both retired from Sparton Engineered Products of Flora.  Carroll was a tool and die maker for 25 years, and Barbara was a Production employee for 20 years. They reside at R.R #2, Flora, IL.

Their children are Rev and Mrs.  Larry & Linda (Lusk) Cook, a minister of Bear Point F.W.B. Church of Sesser, IL; and Mr and Mrs. Vic & Linda (Cook) Ackerson, a teacher in the Flora School District.

They have four granddaughters, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Angie Cook) Edgmon of Madison, TN; Emily Cook of Sess ser; Kimberly and Tiffanie Ackerson of Flora; and one grandson, Jonathan Ackerson of Flora.

 They will celebrate their anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the First Church of God in Flora from 2 ?- 4 p.m.
All relatives and friends are invited to come celebrate with them.  Cards appreciated, but no gifts please.
