RICHARD S. BOSWELL
This is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Seamon O. Boswell of Chicago,
formerly of Wayne City. He is the husband of Imogene Millenbein
Boswell of Dale IL. He entered the service September, 1941 and is now
at sea.

RECEIVES COMMISSION
John G. Clark Jr.
son of the late J.G. and Mrs. Clark received his commission as second lieutenant, U.S.M.C.R. on July 4, 1945 at Quantico, Virginia. Lt. Clark enlisted in the Marine Detachment Navel Training Unit at Lafayette, Ind. Also received training in North and South Carolina.
John is home on a 10-day furlough at present and will report to Cherry
Point, North Carolina July 19, for duty there.

Cpl. HAROLD E. HARRISON
This son of W. H. Harrison of Manteno went from Wayne City. His
wife,
Nevalyn and son, Bobbie, are waiting anxiously for the war's end. He
entered the service August 31, 1942 and trained at Camp Butler, N. C.,
also U. of Ala., and the last 7 months at Shelby, Miss. He went across
in January, 1945, and was with the U. S. Forces in France when the push
started. He was I. C. yard clerk at Bluford.
FOURTH BROTHER
IN SERVICE
This is the third of the four Hunt brothers in the service. James
lost
his life in St. Lo. Russell is in India. Tom is now on Guam. Arthur,
shown above, is with a Crash Crew sq. B., Fairfield Suisun A. A. B., Calif.
He entered the service July 27, 1944, going with the Army Air Corps. A
sister,
Mrs. Curtis Fenton lives in Sims, and another Mrs. Myrtle Carrell
lives in Wayne City.
WOUNDED IN
LUXEMBOURG
Pfc. Johnnie Hutchcraft
This young husband, with wife and two children, also father and mother,
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hutchcraft at Wayne City, entered the service in December
1943 and was overseas in August, 1944. He was an oil worker. He was injured
in the battle for Luxembourg December 31.
