I have three news articles on Paris Richardson included here.
S/Sgt. Paris C. Richardson if among the boys who have spent six months or more overseas, returned home, and then went back to finish the job. He returned to the States January 16th for a 30 day leave, but has returned to the 23rd. Armored Regiment, with General Hodges, First Army, which made the first break across the Rhine. He entered the service January 10, 1941. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Richardson and husband of the former Erma Draper, all of Wayne City. |

APRIL 26 Mr. and Mrs. George H. Richardson of Wayne City received a message
from the War Department April 26th that their son, Staff Sergeant Paris
C. Richardson was

KILLED 5 DAYS AFTER FURLOUGH Mr. and Mrs. George H. Richardson of Wayne City received a message from the War Department Thursday, May 17th saying their son, Staff Sergeant Paris C. Richardson was killedin action April 8, just five days after he arrived back with his company, after a thirty day rotation furlough home. He was with the First Army in Germany. His wife is the former Erma Draper. |
