Leland Good was the son of Almon and Addie (SMITH) GOOD.
Leland Good, Wayne City, was among the first total of 142 Illinois youths killed in the war. He was named Monday night by the Navy Department in its official casualty list of the war. Next of kin was notified after Good was killed while serving his country and the incident was reported by this newspaper. This week the Navy Department listed, officially and for the first time, the Illinois casualties which includes all actions since Pearl Harbor. Good was a first-class seaman. |
