John D. Deselms & Agnes A. Brown were married September 8, 1867 by Peter Stine, J. P.

Guardian appointed March 9 or 19, 1874 - no name.

Agnes filed for minors pension January 5, 1886

Agnes Brown Deselms married George Washington States on August 8, 1878 in Wayne Co., Illinois.

Agnes filed for widows pension July 22, 1889  (George didn't die until 1928 so I don't know how she did this - I don't know of a divorce.   The last child of George & Agnes was born April 1886.)

1.  William D. Deselms, born June 8, 1868 in Wayne Co., Illinois
2.  Alice Ann (according to family but pension files says Alice M.) Deselms born November 30, 1870 and died March 23, 1887
3.  Mary E. Deselms, born February 17, 1873

Agnes was the daughter of Elihu Brown and Ruthana Gregg.  Agnes died December 22, 1920.

William D. Deselms died January 11, 1947 in Wayne Co., Illinois.  He married Nellie Milner who died October 7, 1947 in Effingham.  They had 3 children

Alice M. Deselms never married.

Mary E. Deselms died in 1967.  She married Arthur Warren Crippen on November 19, 1896 in Wayne Co., Illinois.  Arthur was born January 14, 1865 in Michigan and died 1939 in Wayne Co., Illinois.  Arthur's parents were Miles Crippen and Alice M. ?

Agnes and George Washington States had 3 children:
1. Silva Dell States born January 28, 1880 who married Arthur Virgil Flick.  She died February 22, 1904.
2. Jennie Bell States born April 10, 1882 and died August 25, 1884
3. Cecil Edward States, born April 5, 1886 and died January 1, 1901.
