Packet includes pension applications for Richard L. Clark & his
widow, Maria Clark, Marriage certificate of Richard & Maria Shehorn,
sworn statements as to status of 3 of Richard’s previous wives, divorce
papers of Richard & wife Rebecca Moore. Maria spent about 3 years trying
to prove she was the wife entitled to the pension. I believe this
packet is as close to being the “complete file” as I can get without having
gone to the National Archives and copied it myself. I
requested a copy of the” complete file” from the archives years ago.
Several years later I asked a researcher to copy the “complete file” which
included several more pages. I have tried to transcribe these papers as
close to the original spelling and punctuation as possible.
