August 21, 1862 - enlisted in K11 at Jeffersonville, Wayne Co., Illinois
June 7, 1865 - discharged

Henry C. Hill married Sarah Barrett on November 14, 1878, in Wayne Co., Illinois by Wallace Weeden, a minister of the gospel. Her brother, Isaac Barrett testified as to her marriage.

Witnesses:  John F. Maris, Susan Maris, Rev. W. W. Weeden, J. C. Barrett, A. Milner of Wayne Co.

August 20, 1890, he was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 203 pounds and 49 years old.

Henry C. Hill was married before to Sarah G. (no last name found) and this marriage ended in divorce on May 12, 1878.  According to the divorce papers she divorced him, but she was committing adultery.  Looks like she filed and he must have counterfiled and he was found innocent of wrong doings, but she wasn't)

After Henry died Sarah Barrett married Thomas L. Perry on July 6, 1915, in Morgan County, Indiana.  He died December 3, 1926, in Martinsville, Washington Township, Morgan Co., Indiana.  Thomas L. Perry was born November 7, 1850, the son of Nathan Perry.  Death by suicide (gunshot in the neck) He was buried in S. Park, Martinsville.  Isaac Barrett said he was present at this wedding which took place at the home of his brother (brother's name was not mentioned)

When Sarah applied for pension again after her 2nd husband died, Giles S. Hill and Jennie D. Hill were witnesses for her not marrying again and their testimony was taken in Martinsville, Indiana

Death certificate for Thomas L. Perry was in the file.

Henry C. Hill was born June 19, 1841, (from tombstone) in Tennessee.
He was the son of John Green Hill and Susan D. Hodges (both buried at Yarnall)
Children from first wife:  Both born in Illinois.
1. Solon P. Hill, born abt 1867, who married Wilmoth Ayers in Wayne Co on September 2, 1891.
2. Annegenora A. Hill (no further info)

Children from second wife:
1.  Allie M. Hill, born June 1879, who married Thomas L. Freshwater June 28, 1903, in Wayne Co., Illinois.
2.  Katie Maud Hill, born August 23, 1881, married Robin H. Smith on August 17, 1902, in Wayne Co., Illinois.
3.  Ona B. Hill, born June 7, 1883, died December 28, 1884, buried Yarnall.
4.  Ethel Wilmoth Hill, born March 16, 1888, might be the one who wed Abraham Seaman on June 11, 1917 in Wayne Co., Illinois
5  Zelma Mabel Hill, born September 16, 1890 , married S. L. Cosby on November 7, 1921, in Wayne Co., Illinois.

I haven't really pursued this family much as of now.

I don't know who the Giles S. Hill and Jennie D. Hill were.

Sarah Barrett was born November 1855 and Died August 18, 1929.  Her father was Calvin Barrett  ccording to census files.  Margaret might have been her mother.

I can't find the first wife and the kids in the 1880 census.  I also can't find Henry C. Hill in the census.  I found Sarah and Allie listed with her parents.

Anyway hope this brings me some more information
