JACOB  R.  CREIGHTON, lawyer, of the firm of Creighton & Sibley, Fairfield, Ill., is a son of John M. and Mary A. Creighton and was born in White County. He was educated in the public schools of Wayne County, and at the State Normal University, at Normal, IL. He read law with his brother, James A. Creighton, and was admitted to practice in June, 1875. Since that date he has practiced in Wayne and adjoining counties. He was elected to the office of State's Attorney, in November, 1880, and is now serving in that capacity with universal acceptance He is a Democrat, a member of the Masonic order and of the A. 0. U.
