Mrs Singleterry and Family It is with Pleasure that I take my pen in hand to let you no that we are all in good health and Doing the Best we can I received your kind letter which I was glad to receive and was glad to no that you were all wel and well satisfied to stay in Texas I think you would like to Bee Back in old Howell Co Mo I wish I could see you and talk with you one Day I dont no what to think you never said a word about the old man or any one of his family where are they and what is the matter have you Parted or not What are they all doing I have Bought A Steam saw mill and are making more money than I Evr made in the same length of time I have mad $1750.00 since Seventeen hundread and fifty Dollars since last Sept and the mill is in good Running order I am going to moove the mill Beetween this and the first of June and Point on the Eleven Points Eleven Points 10 miles from here I wish you would come Back heare and make you a farm and live to a good Age in a healthy country my old woman has Better health heare than any place she has ever lived though she is a Bout to fall to pieces and she does not no when I think she has lost her notch stick and she has to carry the Basket and I have to stay at home from the mill and I cant hardly wait But you see how it is cant Help waiting next time she had Better now which one of the neighbors is so clever So no more at Present yours Truly the old woman will fill her Basket on the other side
