DR. HANCOCK
HAS NEW EXPERIENCE

Fairfield Physician
Practicing 50 Years
Delivers Triplets

Dr. W.A. Hancock, 73, who has been practicing in this community for nigh on to fifty years, had the biggest thrill of his lifetime last Saturday night. He delivered triplets, safe and sound, well and happy, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Witter, on Walker street. The triplets were all boys, weighing four and one-half pounds each. They have been named Leo Verl, Leon Beryl, and Loren Earl, and it looks like their teachers will have an “L” of a time distinguishing names in the years to follow.

The youngsters were all doing as well as could be expected Tuesday morning.

Dr. Hancock has perhaps delivered more babies than any physician in these parts, but this was his first job at triplets. And it was done in the home, not at a hospital. Twins had become a numerous task in his calls year after year. In fact one twin he brought into the world is recorded as a victim of World War II this week--Clyde Shelton.

This is the eighth child for the Witters, all except one being boys. But mark these names down: Loren Earl, Leo Verl, and Leon Beryl.

Just imagine mother calling for Earl, or Beryl, or Verl out the back doors across a neighbor's lot at meal time. Even Santa Claus will have a hard time keepingtheir records straight for Christmas time.

We don't know who to congratulate--the 73 year old physician, or the parents. Here's a wish for God's blessings upon all of you.
