DR. JOHN E. ADAMS, older brother of R. D. Adams, was born February 14, 1843, is a graduate of the St. Louis Medical College, first began practice at Cherryvale, Kan., afterward at Enfield, Ill., and since 1878 at Poplar Bluff, Mo., where, besides an extensive general practice, he holds the appointment of Surgeon of the Iron Mountain Railroad Company.
He was married in Richland County, Ill., in 1865, to Miss Martha Snyder.
