Widows Relinquishment and Awards (aka Widow R&A)
Book A 1887-1920
Book B 1921-1928
Book C 1928-1961 will not be include due to Privacy Act
When a man's name is written here, it means his widow sold some or all of his personal property. If we could go to the books to look up the sale(s) it would show what item(s) were sold and for how much it sold for but no other information.
This could be used to give about when a man died. I always thought it was interesting to see item was the highest price, and it was usually a man's rzaor or razor strap.
Sad part is the widow later had to pay taxes on the items she sold.
Smiles!
