OBITUARY |
Charles A., son of Isham and Gilla SImmons was born in Wayne county January 22, 1870. His entire life was spent in this country and for many years he has resided on his farm near Cisne. In young manhood he was converted and united with the Cisne Methodist church, where he retained his membership throughout life.
He was united in marriage with Sarah Asa, September 20, 1889. Seven children were born to this union.
Following a heart attack, he passed away at his home, near midnight, Monday night, May 8, 1944, age 74 years, three months and sixteen days.
He is survived by his faithful companion, five sons, Isham, of Cisne; Preston, of Geff; Clarence, of Dixon; Charles, of Fairfield; and Irvin, of Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Lambrich and Mrs. Corrine Stopher, both of Cisne; one brother, James S., of Harding, Montana; one sister, Mrs. Della Munkres, of Buffalo, Wyoming; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Cisne Methodist Church, Thursday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. Homer T. Herrin. Interment was in the Cisne Cemetery.
