Mary E. Vertrees, wife of Dr. S. W. Vertrees, of Fairfield, died on Friday, Nov 20th, aged 28 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Mrs. Vertrees leaves a loving husband and many relatives to mourn her departure in the prime of life. She leaves four small children who are yet too young to know the great loss they have sustained. She was an affectionate wife and mother and highly respected by all.

A large concourse of sympathizing freinds followed the body to the grave Sunday afternoon.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.C. Galbraith assisted by Rev. J.A. Baird.
