About 1870 she united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church of Rinard while Rev. Hughey was pastor, and lived a consistent Christian life until called home by the Great Father of all. Throughout her life she was a good neighbor, a faithful wife and a devoted mother.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Huntsberry at Willow Branch on Sunday at 2 p.m. and interment in cemetery there.
