Mrs. Estella M. Tibbs, 79, formerly of Pontiac, did at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday in Whittier, Calif., where she has lived the past few years. She has been in failing health for several years and seriously ill for a week.

Funeral services will be held at the Raleigh J. Harris funeral home here at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Glenn V. Manis officiating. Burial will be in Sunny Slope cemetery, Saunemin.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.

Mr. [sic] Tibbs was born May 23, 1874, in Wayne county. She attended school in Wayne county and was married to James H. Tibbs at Fairfield on May 27, 1891. They moved to Pontiac and vicinity in 1927. Mr. Tibbs died in 1935. In 1945, Mrs. Tibbs moved to Florida and later to Whittier.

Mrs. Tibbs was a member of the Round Prairie Baptist church in Wayne county.

She is survived by on daughter, Mrs. Florence Kosky, of Whittier; four sons, Sanford of Cisne, Ill; Roy, Pontiac; Edwin, Kempton, and Vern, Joliet; one sister, Mrs. Mell Shehorn, of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

This entire community extend their heartfelt sympathy to his aged parents, and to his relatives, in their bereavement and afflictions.
