Funeral services for Mrs. Lee Henderson, north of Sims, were held Wednesday afternoon, March 19, in Pin Oak church by Elder Jesse Miller. Burial was in the Baily cemetery. She died suddenly at her home, March 18th after a long illness with dropsy.
Mary Margret Risley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Risley, was born in Franklin county, Illinois, August 19th, 1868. She died March 18, 1941, aged 72 years, six months and 23 days. On February 18, 1886, she was united in marriage to Logan Tibbs. To this union three children were born. A little daughter, Nettie died at the age of three years. On November 4, 1893, Mr. Tibbs passed away leaving his wife and two sons. She was again united in marriage to Leander Henderson November 5, 1895. To this union four children were born. One daughter, Mrs. Viola Jones, proceded her mother in death in 1918. She was converted in early life and lived a Christian life.
Besides her aged husband she is survived by six children, Cloyd Tibbs, Hindsboro; Charlie Tibbs, Cisne; George Henderson and Willie Henderson, Akron, Ohio; Josie Henderson, at home; Edgar Henderson, a step-son, of Sims; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
