George William Weaver, 82, died at his home southwest of Flora yesterday afternoon, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held from McCabe Chapel at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Paul Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Powers cemetery. The body was removed late Tuesday from the Hancock Funeral Home to the family house where it will lie in state until the hour of the final rites.
