Charles Vaughn, 86, of 16 South Silver Street, well known Olney citizen of many years, died suddenly Monday afternoon at his home.

Mr. Vaughn was born in Wayne County, Illinois on March 10, 1882, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Newton Vaughn. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Olney, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 2549, and was Treasurer of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Olney Lodge No. 1372.

He is survived by his wife, Marie, a son Attorney Charles R. Vaughn of Olney, a sister, Mrs. Mae Barnhart of Cisne, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Vaughn will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Leaf officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill cemetery.

Frends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
