Mrs. Nettie Carpenter, wife of Thad Carpenter, died Friday at her home south of Fairfield,. She had been an invalid for several years. Her age was 81 years 5 months and 10 days.

Funeral services were held at the Nale funeral home Sunday afternoon by Rev. R. O. Leach, assisted by Rev. Delbert Goff. Burial was in Koontz cemetery.

Nettie J. Carpenter, daughter of Caleb and Caroline Jones was born December 17, 1867 at Fairfield. On May 6, 1898 she was married to Thad Carpenter.

When a young girl she was converted and joined the Bethel Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband and one sister, Neatice Watson, of Kansas City, Missouri.
