LEW WEEDON DIES
W.L. (Lew) Weedon, 66, well-known Fairfield resident, died Tuesday in theveteran's hospital at Marion from a heart ailment. He had been ill for the past year but entered the hospital two weeks ago following a heart attack. His condition had appeared to be improving.
Funeral services will be conducted from the First Christian church on Friday afternoon at three o'clock by Kent M. Dale. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. Full military services will be held at the cemetery. The body will remain at the Dixon & Crippen funeral home until the funeral hour.
Mr. Weedon was born in Fairfield on May 2nd, 1883 and spent most of his life in Wayne county. He served in the Spanish American War and was active in work of this organization.
Surviving are his widow, Bessie Wilson-Weedon, two sons, Charles Weedon, of Pontiac, Mich.; Lewis, of Dallas, Texas, and a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Brown, of Pasadena, Calif., and one brother, Roy of Fairfield.
