She is survived by two sons, Howard Whalen and his wife, Jean, of Pittsville, PA; and Noel Whalen and his wife, Doris of Romeoville; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Young of Fairfield, Mrs. Glady Young of St. Elmo and Mrs.Nellie Schmidt of Mt. Pleasant, IA; seven grandchildre; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Mary, Mildred and an infant daughter; one sister Lena Vance; and four brothers, Perry, Walker, Herbert and Monroe Butler, two sons, Glen and Harold Whalen, who preceded her in death.

She was a Baptist. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Bluford Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kerry High officiating. Burial will follow in Laird Cemetery.
