I received word that Joanne "Jo" Lappin has passed away. She and her husband "Bud" were longtime Lappin researchers. Bud passed away several years ago. The funeral card states her date of birth as June 25 1928 in Muncie IN; date of death April 11 2004 in Pinellas Park FL. The services were held Apr 14 2004.

Lappin, Joanne L., 75, of the Mainlands, Pinellas Park, died Sunday (April 11, 2004) at Gracewood Nursing Center. Born in Muncie, Ind., she came here in 1989 from Miami, where she was an executive secretary for Dade County General Services.

Survivors include a daughter, Tina Smith, St. Petersburg; a son, Steven Lappin, Roswell, GA; and three grandchildren. Osgood-Cloud Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pinellas Park."
