Mary Maxine youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gussie Jones of Sims, died Saturday night at 8:15 after a short illness of croup which developed into diphtheria.

Little Maxine was born May 20, 1913, age 3 years, six months and 19 days.   While her stay on earth was short she will be sadly missed both in the home and in the Sunday School where she was always faithful and always ready to lift her little voice in song for Jesus.  She leaves father, mother, 2 sisters and one brother, besides a number of close relatives and friends to mourn her departure, for to know little Maxine was to love her.

Short services were held at the home by James Whitson on Sunday at 1:30 after which her little body was laid to rest in Bovee cemetery.
