ALEXANDER CLARK
Alexander Clark Died Monday
Anotherpioneer citizen has answered the last roll call.
Alexander Clark was born in Big Mound township, Wayne county, Ill., Jan. 18, 1834. He was the son of James and Nancy Clark. He died January 28, 1918, being 84 years and 10 days old. He was united in marriage to Eliza Cline, January 23, 1857. To this union was born one son and two daughters, Iva L., Sarah E. Davis and Nancy N. Taaffe. His companion and Sarah E. Davis preceded him in death. One son and daughter, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren survive him, besides other relatives and friends. He was one of the early settlers of this county and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at the family residence, Tuesday, January 29th, at 2 p.m. by Rev. Raymond O. Leach. He was laid to rest by friends neath the snow clad sod of Koontz cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
