Jabe G., son of Daniel and Elizabeth Miller, was born December 25, 1859, died at his home in Sims, September 19, 1921.  He was married to Lizzie Gill in 1879 and to this union was born one son, William Isaac.  The mother departed this life a few days later.

He was again married to Etta Wallace April 15, 1891.  To this union were born seven children, three of them preceded him in death.  He leaves to mourn his departure a loving, devoted a sacrificing companion and 4 loving children, 2 sisters and 2 brothers and 8 grandchildren.  He was stricken with cancer almost 2 years ago and all through his afflictions he has suffered greatly, but has borne his suffering bravely and everything that could be done was done to relieve his suffering.  His family has always been ready and willing until the last to do all they could for him.  All of his children were at his bedside at the time of his death but one son, Luther of Colorado.

He was converted at the Baptist church the year of 1914 and afterwards became a member of the General Baptist Church and was a faithful member until his death.  He was always a loving companion and father always interested and denying himself for the comfort of his family.

Funeral services were conducted at the General Baptist Church at Sims by Rev. J. H. Whitson and the remains laid to rest in Pin Oak Cemetery.

•  Luther Leo MILLER (buried in Maple Hill cemetery, Fairfield)

•  John Martin MILLER (buried in Thomason cemetery, Wayne City)

•  Myrtle MILLER KLEIN (buried in Pin Oak cemetery)

The three children who did not live to maturity, are believed to be buried in Hale cemetery (no tombstones) near Jabe’s parents.  They were:

•  Lawrence R. MILLER

•  Cora M. MILLER
