He was again married to Etta Wallace April 15, 1891. To this union were born seven children, three of them preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure a loving, devoted a sacrificing companion and 4 loving children, 2 sisters and 2 brothers and 8 grandchildren. He was stricken with cancer almost 2 years ago and all through his afflictions he has suffered greatly, but has borne his suffering bravely and everything that could be done was done to relieve his suffering. His family has always been ready and willing until the last to do all they could for him. All of his children were at his bedside at the time of his death but one son, Luther of Colorado.
He was converted at the Baptist church the year of 1914 and afterwards became a member of the General Baptist Church and was a faithful member until his death. He was always a loving companion and father always interested and denying himself for the comfort of his family.
Funeral services were conducted at the General Baptist Church at Sims by Rev. J. H. Whitson and the remains laid to rest in Pin Oak Cemetery.
