W.R. Fleming, Jr. Of Wayne City Dies Thursday

William Reid Fleming, Jr. 50, of Wayne City, died at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in Barnes Hospital at Wayne City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian church in Wayne City, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Loyal Galliher officiating.  Burial will be in Thomason cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Richardson Chapel in Wayne City where friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today.

He was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Wayne City, the son of William and Mary (Reid) Fleming.

On Aug. 19, 1939, he was married to Dorothy Bean, who survives.

He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fleming of Wayne City; a son, William N. Fleming of St. Louis; a daughter, Larna Fleming, at home; and one grandchild.

Mr. Fleming was an electrician for the Wayne County REA.
