Roy G. Bayles, 74, died Monday at his home in Peoria.

Mr. Bayles was a retired employee of the Caterpillar Tractor Company of Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Richadson Chapel in Wayne City with the Rev. Fred Keim officiating.   Burial will be in Thomason cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Richardson Chapel, where friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Bayles was born October 24, 1886, in Hamilton county, the son of D.G. and Nancy E. (Garvison) Bayles.

He was married to Nettie Jones, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Harry Bayles of Peoria and Rex Bayles of Los Angeles, Calif; three daughters, Helen of San Diego, Calif; Virginia of Plainsville, IL and Mary Ruth of Peoria, and two sisters, Mrs. Mae Seabolt of Wayne City and Mrs. E.T. Collins of Eldon, MO.
