Was Husband of a Former Fairfield Resident, the Former Mary Creighton

Paul Elgin, age about 66, died Saturday morning in a hospital at Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Elgin was the husband of the former Mary Creighton, of Fairfield and a son-in-law of the late Judge Jacob R. Creighton here.

He had been in failing health for an extended period suffering from cancer of the lungs.

Mr. Elgin had visited in Fairfield with his wife many times and had many friends here.

Funeral services will be held at two p.m. Tuesday at the Crenshaw Methodist Church there with burial in the Inglewood cemetery.

A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Mr. Elgin was a lawyer and a successful business man.  In recent years he served as chairman of the building committee for the new Crenshaw Methodist church.  Both he and Mrs. Creighton were active members of this congregation.

Mrs. Creighton is a cousin of Mrs. Frank Heidinger of Fairfield.
