ENTERED INTO REST
Orin C. Creighton, son of John M. and Ruth Creighton, was born near Ebenezer church Feb. 18th, 1900; died April 28th, 1916, aged 16 years, 2 months, 16 days.
He was taken with acute indigestion on the night of April 26th and passed away at 11:30 Friday morning. During his short illness, his father, mother, brothers and sisters were all at his bedside, trying to relieve his great suffering, with the assistance of thebest medical aid. But all to no avail.
Thursday afternoon Orin inquired of his father if he wasn't getting worse. The father said, yes, Orin I think you are very sick. Orin said, I want to get well but I'm all right. Orin and his twin brother, Olin, were baptised, when small, by Rev. Hiser. He was loved by all his friends and school mates. He leaves a father, mother, five sisters and four brothers also a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
"We believe some day we shall meet him,
Beyond each tear and sigh;
In the land of love and gladness,
Where we'll never say goodbye."
Funeral services were conducted at Ebenezer Church in Jasper township, Sunday April 30th, at 10:30 by Rev. N.S. Lanter, pastor of the M.E. church of Noble and the interment [is] in the Ebenezer cemetery.
