Margarett Ethel Patterson-Moore was born Dec. 5th,1879 in Wabash county, Illinois. She departed this live Sunday, Feb. 17th 1908, at the age of 28 years, 1 month, and 21 days.

She was fifth in a family of eleven children, five girls with the mother having gone on before. She professed her faith, and joined the Methodist Church when just a child. Since that time she has led an examplary Christian life, a life so overflowing with Christian love and faith that it was ever a means of edification to those who came in tough with it.

Her last hours were another great victory for Christianity, a verification of every promise. Though agonizing with pain, when asked how she felt, she felt like she was near heaven. Then clapping her hands and offering up her voice in praises she sang in a broken voice a favorite hymn.

She was united in marriage to Clark Moore, Dec. 13, 1903. This short union was blessed with three children, two girls and one boy. Of this number there remains Lucile of three years, and a baby boy nine days old.
