JOHN M. CREIGHTON, SR.,
DIES
ILL LONG TIME
Well-Known Fairfield Real Estate Man and Auctioneer Passed Away Wednesday Morning. John M. Creighton, Sr., passed away about eight o'clock Wednesday morning, today, at the home of his son-in-law Lee Grice, on West Delaware street.
Mr. Creighton, aged past seventy-five, had been ill a long time. For the past several months he has been confined to his bed at the Grice home. He suffered from numerous complications incident to his advanced age. Funeral arrangements were not complete at press time, Wednesday. It is expected, however, to be Friday.
Mr. Creighton, for many years a farmer in Jasper township, retired from that work some years ago and moved to Fairfield, where he engaged in the real estate business. He was also widely known as an auctioneer. The surviving children are the daughters, Mrs. Lee Grice, Mrs. Lawrence Sunderland, of Fairfield, Mrs. George Crews of Chicago, and sons Olan, of Ohio, Jake, of Michigan, and Cash, of Denver, Colorado; and a daughter Eve.
