Was An Airtex Accountant
Mrs. Elizabeth Francis Dies
Mrs. Elizabeth C. Francis, 61, a well-known Fairfield woman who worked many years as an accountant at Airtex Products, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Francis had been in declining health and had been in and out of the hospital, her family said.
Services Tuesday Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with Rev. B.R. Cummins officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Nales Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday (tonight).
Mrs. Francis was born in Fairfield Apr. 1, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Millie (Camp) Creighton. Her father was a well-known Fairfield attorney. She grew up in Fairfield and was graduated from Fairfield High School. She attended the University of Illinois. Mrs. Francis was employed at Airtex and worked there many years. Only Mar. 17, she retired from Airtex.
She was an enthusiast of art and painted frequently. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; the Business & Professional Women's Club; the Exemplar Club; and DAR.
The Survivors
Surviving are one son, William of Charleston; one sister, Mrs. Jane Herzier, of Sturgis, Mich.; one cousin, Joe Fleming, of Fairfield; and one niece, Mrs. William Camp, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
