Jane White was born in Wayne county Ill., in 1829, and was married in her teens, to Minetree Whitson, who preceded her in death, 26 years.

After her husband's death, she made her home with her sister Mary, and after Mary's demise, lived with H. D. Craven's until Mrs. Craven died.  She then made her home with her nieces and nephews, and died at H. G. Craven's in Oberlin, at 1 o'clock last Saturday morning.

The body was brought to the North Star church Sunday and the funeral services held a 2 o'clock p.m.  Services were conducted by Elder H. P. Clark, and the remains interred in the new cemetery.
