MRS. ETHERIDGE DIES
IN ST. LOUIS
Fairfield Woman Suffered
Cerebral Hemorrhage Oct. 24th
Funeral Hour Not Set
Mrs. Virgil Etheridge, 56, south of Fairfield, died Saturday
night at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, where she had been a patient since
November 6th.
Mrs. Etheridge, whose husband is a veteran Airtex worker, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage at her home the afternoon of October 24th and she was rushed to Memorial hospital where she remained as a patient until being transferred to Barnes hospital.
A few moments after her death her husband suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized at Barnes. He had suffered two or three light heart attacksin recent weeks. Mr. Etheridge was expected to be released from the hospital some time Monday (today).
The hour for funeral services for Mrs. Etheridge was not set, pending Mr. Etheridge's release from the hospital. The body is at Nales Funeral Home.

Jane Book, was born in July, 1900, in Wayne county, near Merriam.
She grew to womanhood in the Barnhill vicinity.
She was married to Virgil Etheridge and four children were born to this union, with one daughter preceding her in death.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Kenneth and Harold, both of Fairfield; and a daughter, Phyllis, wife of Elbert Vaughn, near Fairfield; one brother, Robert E. "Bob" Book, of this city. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
