OBUTIUARY

GABRIEL TRAGO

Son of Erasmus and Melissa Trago, was born in Monroe county, Ohio,  February 18th, 1845; departed this life, March 4th, 1914, aged 69 years 14 days.  He moved with his parents to this county in May 1853.  He was united in marriage to Miss Jane Lear, August 17th, 1865.  Unto this  union were born four children, one son and three daughters, all of whom  survive him.  His wife preceded him to the better world, sixteen years.

Early in life he became a member of the Christian church, being one of  the charter members of the church at Cisne, and baptized by Elder D. D. Miller in 1862.  Thus for fifty-two years he was a faithful "soldier of the cross", always at his place in church when health permitted until death.  No eulogistic praises can add to the measure of a life rounded up and completed.  The volume is ended and the record is closed and sealed with the clasp of death.  Brother Trago was not a man to be lightly forgotten, but in the sacred precincts of his home, among the loving circles of his family, kindred and friends, will the finer qualities of his character find their most fragrant immortality.

He leaves to mourn their sad loss four children, Mrs. J. B. Montgomery, Mrs. Roy Galbraith, of Fairfield, Mrs. L. L. Billington, of Cisne, and Eli Trago of California, four grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral was at Cisne Christian church, Thursday at 10 a.m. conducted by Eld. J. B. Dickson of Fairfield.
