Floyd Dale Wilson
Floyd Dale, son of A. S. and Emma Wilson, was born in Wayne Co., Ill., Dec.25, 1895. Practically all his life was spent with his parents on the farm. He was a good natured kind and thoughtful of others and a more dependable boy was not to be found.
On Feb. 12th, 1915 he professed faith in Christ during a meeting held at Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church by the Rev. J. M. Russell. At the close of the of the meeting Floyd united with the church and since that time has lived a consistent Christian life.
He parsed away April 18, 1924, leaving his sorrowing parents, one sister, Mrs. Ruth (Verner) Hooper, one brother, Lee, his aged grandmother, three nephews and one niece.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. J. T. Coleman from Union Cumberland church Saturday afternoon and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery on adjoining grounds to the church.
