DALE BORAH WILSON

Dale Borah Wilson, son of Rev. G. A. Wilson and Lula M. Boraah Wilson, was born in Danvers, McClean County, Illinois, January 10, 1902, and died of tetanus at the Rock Creek Manse near Petersburg, Ill., June 30, 1919. aged 17 years, 5 months and 10 days.

His mother died April 26, 1906, when he was but four years old. His school days begun at Rock Creek and he graduated from the Rock Creek Community High School June 5, 1919.

He had just taken preliminary steps toward entering school at Annapolis in the fall.

He had great respect for the best things of life, and was outspoken when occasion demanded. In 1912 he united with the Presbyterian church at LeRoy, during his father's pastorate at that place.

With the exception of three years in Arkansas, his life was spent in this state.

He leaves to mourn his departure from earth, but to rejoice at his entntrance into a brighter and better land, his father, Rev. G.  A. Wilson, and Mrs. G. A. Wilson,  one sister,  Mrs. Mary Wilson Davis, of Little Rock, Ark., one brother, George Rees Wilson, at Rock Creek with his parents, and many sympathizing friends.

Services were held at Rock Creek on Wednesday, July 2, at 3 p. m.

Services were also held in this city on Thursday afternoon,  in the First Preshyterian Church, Dr. J. W. Flint, of the M. E. Church, officiating.  Burial in Maple Hill cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs. E. P. Fleming, B. F. Thomas, J. H. Boze, E. H. Childress, Fred Whitson and Rev. C. N. Merritt

Those from a distance who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs.. G. A. Wilson, Rock Creek, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Homer Davis, Little Rock Ark., Thomas  Schnapp, Samuel Schnapp, John Hurie, C. W. Houghton and R. E. Bone, Rock Creek, Ill.
