Henry Walker was born March 24th, 1836 at Chilton, Buckinghamshire, England. He professed faith in Christ and was baptized May 1859 in the Latter Day Saints church at Pinoak, Wayne County, Illinois by Rev. T. P. Green.
He married Francis Mary Simms, December 25, 1860. She died September 7th, 1901. To them were born 12 children, five of whom still survive. He was ordained an elder October 1868 at Little Wabash, Illinois by T. P. Green and G. H. Hilliard. He was again married in October 1903 to Sarah Borah. He died April 25th, 1914.
He is survived by his widow. He bore his suffereing patiently to the end; was a kind husband, and kind and loving father and was loved by all who knew him. His chidren were all at hs bedside to the end, all living in the immediate neighborhood, except one Mrs. James Fauver of Danville, Ill., who had been called and arrived on Monday before he died on Saturday morning.
He lived a faithful member of the Latter Day Saints church to the end.
Funeral services were conducted by Elders Hilliard, Henson, and Isaac A. Morris at Victory church, Sunday, April 26th, 1914, at 11 o'clock, a.m.
