Mary Cynthia Hooper was born March 28 1878 at Fairfield, IL and died in Beatrice, NE January 30 1923.  She graduated from Fairfield HS into the teaching profession.  On the 16th of April 1902 she was married in Fairfield to Robert L. Kirby.  To this union was born a daughter, Thelma.

Mary was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Beatrice, NE.

She is survived by her husband Robert, one daughter Thelma, her mother, Mrs. W. J. Mayberry, and a sister Mrs. Frank Geoffrey.

Services were held in Beatrice with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
