Cena (Thompson) Jones,91, Geff, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 1989, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She died from the infirmities of age. Services Held Services were held Monday (today) at 1 p.m. at Johnson Chapel with Rev. Brad Henson officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 26,1897 in Ripley County, Mo., the daughter of George and Judy Thompson. On Jan. 26, 1916 she was married to James "Jim" Jones in Doniphan, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1986. She was a homemaker and, she and her husband lived most of their life on a farm northeast of Fairfield in the area known as the Gaither Store Community.

She was a member of the Elm River Baptist Church.

Surviving her are one son, J. Kenneth Jones of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Marcella Chervinko of Tulsa, Ok.; one brother, Ray Thompson of Doniphan, Mo.; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
